Voice Overs

For months now, Ivon has been taking classes and getting private lessons to learn the art of doing voice overs.  The beginning of December, we went down to Orem to Jackman Music where they recorded demos for him.  The recording engineer had to finish them by putting the music and other stuff in the background.  He just sent them yesterday!  Ivon did SO good!  The recording engineer was very pleased with Ivon’s voice.  It’s SO exciting!  And, I want to share the demos with you!  Since WordPress will only let me have 2MB size files, I have to share a link instead of putting them in this post.  So, click here, here, and here!  Now, he can be a professional Voice Talent, earning extra money with this amazing gift he’s been given!  :0)

Tee Pee’s :0)

For Christmas, Ivon and I made the kids some tee pee’s-  well, the older kids.  Mallie got a rocking chair- which she LOVES!  Anyway, the tee pee’s turned out SO fun!  I couldn’t get a pattern, so Ivon and his math genius, figured out the angles and everything for me to cut the fabric out.  And, this is what they look like:

The boys’.  :0)  Christopher’s has pirate characters, and Robby’s has green and blue dinosaurs.

And, the girls’.  :0)  Hannah’s has pink and grey whales, and Emily’s has aqua, brown and white hearts.

They should be a lot of fun in the summer.  Right now, they don’t have much time to play with them, what with school and all.  That and the fact that Hannah’s and Christopher’s have had a ribbon ripped off the doors.  Grr.  They are still waiting in my sewing room to be fixed.  It might take me a while to get to them.  :0|

It has been such a LONG time since I posted all my pages.  Be prepared!  :0)

Whew!  I think that’s it!  Sorry if there were some I’ve already posted…  I may have even missed a few… Don’t know!  :0)

I LOVE scrapbooking!  Digital scrapbooking, mind you!  I am really enjoying being on the Shabby Artist Team.  It’s been SO busy.  But, I’m getting my pictures/memories scrapped- which is incredibly important to me.  I want my kids to have this.  I have a hard time explaining myself to my kids in our everyday lives.  In my scrapbooking, I am able to write my feelings.  For some reason, I can’t express myself when talking- it comes out so much better on my pages.  I hope my kids can forgive me for my inabilities, and I hope that the words written will make up for it.

I.  LOVE.  MY.  FAMILY!

Homemade Computers and Names

I’m sitting here on my bed, working on my computer.  Christopher is sitting with me, with his homemade computer- he made it himself!  SO CUTE!  (His Daddy is quite proud!)

He saw my wedding pictures on my wall, and this conversation ensued:

Christopher:  Was I dere?

Me:  No, you weren’t born yet.

Christopher:  But, why?!  Babies need to be dere, too.  Oh!  Maybe I would come down in my helercopter and be dere.  And you could name me Christopher, or Jackson, or KILLER DRAGON!

Me:  Killer Dragon?  Why Killer Dragon?

Christopher:  Because I like killing dragons…

Ha ha ha!  I tell ya, conversations never get boring with him around!  :0)

Halloween

Halloween was LONG awaited- and I’m VERY glad it’s over.  :0)  The kids had SO much fun, though!  That makes all the hard work worth it!  Once again, I made the kids’ costumes.  I just didn’t have as much energy/ambition to do too much.  Thankfully, the kids LOVED their costumes.  (Except Mallie.  I think she could have cared less.  :0)  )  Ivon took the kids out Trick or Treating while I stayed home with Mallie- who fell asleep- and handed out- and ate- candy.  :0)

I told him to hold out his hands to look like he was flying.  He’s cute!  See the whole in his mouth?  :0)  He pulled that tooth out all by himself!

I told Christopher to hold out his hands, too.  That’s as close as he could get!  The poor kid is SO uncoordinated!  (He STILL can’t figure out how to pedal his bike!)

Hannah asked me, “Can I do this in my picture?”  (LOVE how she poses!)

Mallie’s super powers are being SUPER cute and mumbling into a phone.  (I had to give her my phone to keep her still!)

And, Emily wanted to get back to her ancestral roots and be an Indian.  With glasses.  LOVE her!

(See Christopher’s boots?!)  :0)

(Mallie wouldn’t turn around.  She was too busy on the phone.)

Saturday night, we carved our pumpkins.  We were almost done with them when the knives broke.  All of them.  So, I had to finish them with our sheet rock saw.  Yeah.  It was interesting.  :0)  Oh, and Ivon took these pictures.  I tried, and they turned out blurry.  He was proud of himself for taking better pictures than I did.  (His secret weapon was a tripod).  He’s so smart.  :0)

This is Robby and Christopher’s pumpkin.

This Emily and Hannah’s pumpkin.

This was Mallie’s contribution.  She stood guard over the garbage can the whole time.

Happy belated Halloween!

Happy Birthday, Christopher!

My cute little Christopher turned 4 today.  I can’t believe it!  FOUR!  *sigh*

We were in Murray last night and today because Ivon had a class, and we decided to stay overnight, so he wouldn’t have to drive all the way home, and then return early in the morning.  (Ivon tends to start falling asleep when he drives.)  So, Christopher got to open his presents in our hotel room.  He was SO excited!

He got the Thomas the Train “packageges” that he so desperately wanted!  :0)

And some more Thomas the Train tracks with Colin!  Oh, yeah.

Four?  Really?  Why do they have to grow up?!  (He’s SO cute!)

Then, since we were in Murray, Andrea and Brian met us at the Murray Park!  The kids were SO excited to see their cousins!  I was SO excited to see my sister!  (Oh, and her husband, too, of course!  ;0)  )

Emily really was excited, I just didn’t catch a good expression!  And, cute Ciara, I couldn’t really get a good picture of the front of her.  Come to think of it, I don’t think I got a picture of Joey from the front, either.  They wouldn’t hold still!

:0)

Lily liked to push Mallie around in her stroller.  She’d also go up to Mallie and smile and say, “Hi, Baby!”

Playin’ in the sand.

LOVE.  THIS.  PICTURE!

Soon, it was time to go pick Ivon up from his class, and then go home.  I had cupcakes to make!  Emily and Hannah frosted them for me.  They’re so sweet!

See Mallie?  :0)

Christopher had a great birthday!  We’ve also got another party tomorrow for the Van Duren side of the family!  That will be TONS of fun!

Happy Birthday, Christopher!  We love you!  :0)
