About Me
I love creating things! Whether it's sewing, crafting, digital scrapbooking, gardening, decorating- I love it all! My greatest "creation", though, is my family! And, I hope and pray that I will always be able to remember the moments that make my family special to me! So, I suppose this blog is somewhat of a journal, so that I can look back and remember...We Are the Thames

I finally figured out the “secrets” to potty training. Ya ready?
Okay.
1. You need LOTS of cookies for prizes. (I HATE making cookies, but, it’s worth it!)
2. Cool underwear. (I don’t know. It just works.)
And, the most IMPORTANT thing ever…
3. You need older siblings to do the potty training. (The kid kind of gets tired of you taking them to the toilet!)
Honestly, I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t had Emily, Hannah, and Robby.
Emily and Hannah would sit with Christopher and read him a story.
I don’t know what Robby did, other than suggest to Christopher to go- I guess he’ll do
whatever Robby says… which may or may not be a good thing!
I only wish I knew these “secrets” when Emily and Hannah were potty training.
(They were terrible!)
But, all in all, he’s done a GREAT job! Two weeks into it, and he has very few accidents!
YAY!
And, look, he’s just SO proud of himself!
“Belly Slide”
So, one day, we decided to beat the rain, and play outside for awhile.
The kids found our “Slip N’ Slide” stashed away in the garage somewhere
and asked if they could play on the “Belly Slide”.
So. Much. Fun!
But, as fun as these pictures are… these next ones are even better!
Like I said… SO. MUCH. FUN!
We are going to try to do this again today, as long as the weather stays good!
Cutest Little Devil
Lucy In The Sky
This kid makes me laugh! He says some pretty funny things! Although, I have to say that his laugh is the funniest of all! I wish I could scrap that! Maybe some day we will catch it on video. Hope so!
(Oh, and this page is another Shabby Shoppe Challenge! Go here for more information on how to join in on the fun: http://www.theshabbyshoppe.com/blog/index.php/category/challenges )
Last Day of School
Yesterday was the beginning of hopefully a great summer. Emily and Hannah were so excited for school to be out. I’m not completely sure if I am or not. I’m excited to have a little more help around the house, but, not excited for the fighting and boredom to begin! Still, I can’t believe that yet another school year is done. My girls are growing up! Why do they have to do that?! Emily just finished second grade, and Hannah finished first. You know what that means? I’m getting older! And to top it off, Robby will be starting Kindergarten next year! Wow!
Anyway, I am proud of my girls for doing such a great job in school! They are amazing kids!

Hooked On You
Cute Robby! We went fishing one night for FHE, and Robby was a little too small to be around the water. Knowing how graceful he was/is, we figured the stroller to be the best place for him.
This page took me a little longer to finish- what with sewing for the Martin Harris Pageant, and having to make the fishing pole from scratch on Photoshop. I really like how the fishing pole and the whole page turned out!
SHOTS!
Robby is getting ready for Kindergarten. He’s SO excited! He constantly wants to do his “homework” like his sisters “get” to do. Well, in order for him to be able to get in a class, he has to have all his immunizations up to date. Luckily, he got the Tetanus one done last month when he stepped on two rusty nails. (Yes, two. When he does something, he has to do it good. Just like his Grandpa, also named Robby!) So, he only had to have two shots today. And he was so brave. He only cried a little. He had a little stuffed dinosaur in one hand, my hand in the other, and my other hand covering his eyes. He wanted to go see Emily and Hannah at school after so he could tell them that he was “so brave”.
He also measured 44 lbs. and 44 in. tall. And he’s 4 years old. The nurse and doctor got a kick out of that one. “He’s square all around!” They said. And, I said, “Yup, just like his head! Corners and all.” He’s cute. I sure love that little guy! I can’t believe how fast he’s grown!
Author Fair
Hannah had an “Author Fair” on Thursday, to show off all her work that she did throughout the year. It was fun to see her stories and journals. She’s so funny! (Christopher loved being there, too, because I’m sure he ate half the cookies that were there for the guests!) Some day I will scan in her work and post those, too. But, for now, enjoy this cute picture of Hannah standing by her desk taken by my phone because I forgot to bring my better camera.
Parent Program
Emily had a “Parent Program” in her class on Wednesday. They had practiced long and hard and pulled off a pretty fun program. They sang songs about being good friends, and America, and an Indian style song. (Forgive me- I don’t know what the name of it was!) She was so excited to be in charge of holding and waving the hula-hoop in the Indian song. They had punch and cookies at the end. They did a very good job and I am proud of her for holding that hula-hoop so well! :)
Ivon
I have an amazing husband! I just have to say! I was having problems with Blogger and the “About Me” section on my blog… I couldn’t figure it out for the life of me! So, I ask Ivon to help. He searched out the problem, and found a way around it when the problem couldn’t be fixed. He had to write a new HTML code thing for a new “About Me” section. I never would have been able to do it myself. HTML is a foreign language to me.
Go Ivon! You are amazing!
